Announcement:

Wisconsin Board for Evaluation of Interpreters

Training Opportunity for Working Interpreters and ITP Student Interpreters: Foundations of Demand Control Schema for Interpreters. There are spaces available for the training, so please register if you are interested.

Training description:
Interpreters face ethically complex situations every day. Unfortunately, the profession has not been consistent in how it guides and supports interpreters in making effective and ethical decisions. This six-week online training addresses the concerns of the current ethical dialogue in the field, and instead offers interpreting practitioners a values-based process for effectively analyzing each assignment for contextual factors and decision consequences. This workshop will be conducted February 2023–March 2023 virtually both synchronously and asynchronously. See below for a detailed schedule and training objectives.

Training cost:$175.00
For no additional cost, a DC-S textbook authored by Dr. Robyn Dean and Dr. Robert Pollard will be provided to the first 20 people who register.

Registration: To sign up, please register in advance. Please note that HEAR Wisconsin is our registration partner handling the processing of registration payments.
